Kaktus – Grüne Jugend Münster

Welcome on the webpage of Kaktus – Grüne Jugend Münster!

(All links in German language)

The German federal elections will take place on Sunday, 26th September. For our generation this is one of the last opportunities to stop climate change. That’s why we fight for a good future for everyone.
In Münster we fight our struggle for justice together with
Maria Klein-Schmeink. She is the spokesperson for health of the German Greens in the Bundestag and will keep fighting for a just health policy, which takes into consideration the needs of all persons living in Germany.

Thus vote green on the 26th of September.

Who we are:

Our organisation ist called „Kaktus – Grüne Jugend Münster“ and we are a group of young people who share the values of the party Bündnis 90/Die Grünen. Our organisation exists since 1997 and is linked to the Grüne Jugend-Network Germany and the Federation of Young European Greens.

What we stand for:

Sustainability – Grassroots Democracy – Queer-Feminism – Social Justice – Antifaschism

We advocate a society in which we can and want to live in peace all together. We advocate a society in which everybody can participate and where we care for everyone. We advocate tolerance and acceptance for a huge variety of life plans. We want to raise awareness for the climate crisis and demand a system change towards a sustainable way of living – for us people and for our planet. This includes beeing critical towards the capitalist system. Even though we are linked to the Green party we always try to question their politics and aren’t afraid of discussions. At the same time it is very important to us to always communicate in a respectful manner. We make a stand against racism, sexism, anti-semitism and any discrimination based on sexual and gender identity. Meanwhile we admit that all those mechanisms are manifested deeply in our society and know that we have to work hard to burst those patterns of thought with which we grew up.We meet every thursday at 7 pm in the „Grünes Zentrum“ in Windhorststraße 7. (At the moment we meet on the online-platform zoom) You can participate immediately, you don’t have to be a member of our organisation. In addition to our weekly meetings we also meet in working groups.
